Industrial Fire Doors — Protecting Assets, Protecting People

Factories and warehouses represent the highest fire-risk environments of all building types, concentrating large quantities of flammable goods, chemicals, fuel and high-capacity electrical equipment. A warehouse fire can destroy an entire inventory within hours. Properly certified fire door systems are the first and most effective line of defence.

Industry-specific challenges

Nguyen Kien Global understands every challenge in depth — to deliver the right solution

🔥

Extreme fire risk

Flammable goods, fuels and raw materials stored together. A small fire can spread across an entire facility within minutes without effective fire-rated partitions and doors.

🚛

Large-format doors for vehicles

Forklifts and trucks make constant passes — fire doors must be wide (3×3m and above), impact-resistant, and operate smoothly under demanding industrial conditions.

🌡️

Harsh operating environment

High temperatures, humidity and dust — doors must maintain fire performance over many years of operation in industrial conditions.

⚙️

Minimal maintenance requirements

Industrial maintenance teams lack PCCC expertise — doors must be durable, low-failure and have readily replaceable components.

Standards & Regulations

Nguyen Kien Global products meet all applicable national and international fire safety standards

  • QCVN 06:2022/BXD — Fire safety for industrial buildings
  • TCVN 3890:2009 — Fire safety equipment for warehouses and workshops
  • Circular 149/2020/TT-BCA — Fire prevention in industrial zones
  • NFPA 101 — Life Safety Code (commonly applied in FDI industrial parks)
  • EN 1634-1 — Fire resistance testing of industrial doors

Frequently asked questions

1Where must fire doors be installed in a warehouse?

Under QCVN 06, fire doors are required at warehouse entry/exit points, partition walls between different goods storage areas, electrical rooms and pump rooms. Warehouses over 500m² require additional fire partitions to subdivide the space.

2Can fire doors withstand regular forklift impact?

Nguyen Kien Global offers a reinforced warehouse door range with an additional steel protection strip on the lower section (40cm height) and 2mm thick steel. Minor collisions will not affect fire resistance or airtightness.

3Do cold-store fire doors have special requirements?

Cold stores require fire doors with combined insulation, tolerant of large temperature differentials (-25°C to +40°C). Nguyen Kien Global offers purpose-built dual-core doors combining insulation and EI60 fire resistance.
